Japan Scholar lecture was held in IIT Gandhinagar, India

Professor Sakthi Kumar (Faculty of Information Sciences and Arts, Toyo University) interacted with students and faculty members of the India Institute of Technology (IIT) in Gandhinagar, India through the Japan Scholar Program.

On March 20, Prof. Sakthi visited several IIT Gandhinagar facilities along with participants and inaugurated the “Japan Meets India” event by lighting the lamp and delivering a talk where he introduced Toyo University, 500²ÊÆ±Íø, Kyushu University, and Shizenkan University. He also introduced possibilities and various fellowships in Japan and had good discussions with students. He concluded by encouraging students to make Japan as their destination.
On the following day, he gave a lecture on his research theme, “Theranostic and Its Applications”, to 100 students and faculty members. In the seminar talk, he discussed AI applications in the Materials Science and Biotechnology fields to introduce his research activities in Japan to the participants at IIT Gandhinagar.
Overall, the visit to IIT Gandhinagar was really a great step towards the collaborations as well as providing information to students and faculties who attended the seminar about possibilities in Japan which they were not aware.

The Japan Scholar Program sends researchers affiliated with research institutions in Japan to universities and high schools in South Asia, where they give mock lectures and talks about studying in Japan. The program aims to promote Japan's research capabilities and educational strengths through lectures to local high school and university students.
